Rules & Regulations

Viveka International School follows a structured set of rules to maintain discipline, safety, academic excellence, and a positive learning environment. These guidelines help students develop responsibility, good behaviour, and respect for themselves and others.

RULES
⭐ General School Rules
  • Students must come to school on time every day.
  • School uniform must be worn neatly and correctly on all working days.
  • Students should bring all required books, notebooks, and materials.
  • Cleanliness must be maintained in classrooms, corridors, and school premises.
  • Students must take care of school property; damages will be charged.
  • Running or shouting in corridors is strictly prohibited.
  • Students are expected to behave politely with teachers, staff, and peers.
  • Leaving the school campus during school hours is strictly not allowed without permission.
  • Students must participate in assemblies, activities, and events with sincerity.
CONDUCT
⭐ Code of Conduct
  • Respect for teachers, staff, classmates, and school rules is mandatory.
  • Use of offensive or abusive language is strictly prohibited.
  • Good manners, courtesy, and discipline must be maintained at all times.
  • Students must complete classwork and homework regularly.
  • Bullying, teasing, or physical/verbal harm to others is not tolerated.
  • Students must maintain a positive attitude and cooperate with school authorities.
  • Honesty and integrity are expected in academics and behaviour.
UNIFORM
⭐ Uniform Guidelines
  • Students must wear the prescribed school uniform on all working days.
  • Uniform must be clean, neatly ironed, and worn with pride.
  • Shoes must be polished; socks should match the uniform.
  • Hair must be neat:
  • Boys: Short, tidy, no styling.
  • Girls: Hair tied with black or school-colour ribbons.
  • Jewellery, fancy accessories, nail polish, and mehendi are not permitted.
  • On sports days, students must wear the designated sports uniform.
ATTENDANCE
⭐ Attendance Rules
  • Minimum 85% attendance is required for academic progress and promotions.
  • Students must not be absent without prior permission or valid reason.
  • A leave letter signed by parents must be submitted after any absence.
  • Absence for tests or exams requires genuine medical proof.
  • Late arrival beyond a certain time may be marked as half-day or absent.
  • Long absences without information may result in removal from rolls.
DISCIPLINE
⭐ Discipline Policy
  • Discipline is the foundation of our school environment.
  • Any form of disobedience, misconduct, or disrespect will invite corrective action.
  • Repeated indiscipline will lead to written warnings, counselling, or suspension based on severity.
  • Students must maintain discipline in the classroom, bus, playground, and campus.
  • The school reserves the right to take appropriate action for safeguarding student welfare.
HOMEWORK
⭐ Homework Policy
  • Homework is assigned to reinforce classroom learning.
  • Students must complete homework neatly and submit it on time.
  • Parents are encouraged to supervise but NOT complete work on behalf of the child.
  • For KG, no written homework; only fun oral activities.
  • For primary and middle school, homework is light, meaningful, and age-appropriate.
  • Repeated non-completion of homework will require parent intervention.
DEVICES
⭐ Mobile / Device Policy
  • Students are not allowed to bring mobile phones or electronic gadgets to school.
  • If found, the device will be confiscated and returned only to parents.
  • Smart watches, gaming devices, cameras, and Bluetooth devices are strictly banned.
  • In special academic cases, device usage will be allowed only under teacher supervision.
PARENTS
⭐ Parent–School Communication
  • Parents are encouraged to maintain regular communication with teachers.
  • School updates are shared through notices, messages, and the school diary.
  • Parents must check the school diary daily for homework and announcements.
  • Any concerns should be discussed only during designated meeting hours.
  • Polite and respectful communication is expected at all times.
  • Emergency information must be reported to the school immediately (change of address, contact number, medical condition, etc.).
Visiting Hours
To ensure smooth academic functioning, parents are requested to meet staff only during designated times.

School Office Timings:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Meeting Teachers:

  • Only after school hours or during scheduled Parent–Teacher Meetings.
  • Entry into classrooms during school hours is strictly prohibited.

Meeting the Principal:

  • By prior appointment during office hours.
